Employment By Surprise!

           It has been a busy start to the New Year! I can’t believe we are already gearing up for March.  Over the past week I was meeting with an agency to discuss some documentation within the ISP program module.  As we were finishing up discussing the diverse options they had within the ISP program module, we hear a knock at the door.  One of their job coaches stuck their head through the door and said, “I have to ask since Calvin is here. Calvin is there anywhere in Therap that we could track our employers, and their contact info?”

           I was able to answer Yes.  I showed the employment history module.  Within the module it allows you to enter in all employers, contact persons, and the ability to track all interactions with the employer.  She was extremely excited and had one more question. She asked, “Calvin I can see that you can enter the employers and all of that information, however how would we be able to get a full list of employers with their contact information?”

           I was excited to announce that we have now created a report within the report library, called Employment History Report :: Contact Person.  This report will allow you to export your complete list of employers and contact persons to excel where you could filter the Employer list to meet your criteria.

           In addition, she mentioned that they were having issues keeping track of what milestone everyone was on, that was receiving VR (Vocational Rehabilitation) services.   She was aware that she could enter in the milestones within Therap but did not know how to go about locating everyone per milestone.  I showed her how to utilize the milestone search within the employment history module to set her parameters and locate everyone per milestone. Once the search results were generated she was able to export the information to excel.

           It was time to end the meeting, and everyone in the room was excited about employment. As I was packing up and getting ready to leave, she said, “I had no IDEA!
