Aging in Community” Video to air on WMHT in January

With a grant from the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) partnered with the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) to develop an aging outreach initiative that focuses on successfully remaining at home within communities for as long as possible.

The project included the production of a Public Television program titled “Aging In Community”, now available in DVD, intended as an outreach to families and caregivers living at home with people with developmental disabilities who are aging. The DVD includes information on how to contact both NYSOFA and OPWDD local offices to find available services.

The video will air on WMHT on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at 10:30 p.m. following Masterpiece Theater. Click here to find WMHT on your TV.
