It would not be a celebration of National Direct Support Professional Week without me saying a little something. In addition to what has been said by NYSACRA, NADSP, John Raffaele and many more respected people that everyone works with every day, I would just like to add my thanks and appreciation for what a DSP does on a minute to minute basis. Those minutes add up to stressful as well as enjoyable hours with people with disabilities and other staff around you. Often times you only work by yourself or maybe a few other staff and you are constantly making life decisions for others. My sincere message for others is when you do make a mistake, please put it into perspective for the number of right and glorious things you have done for years. Thank you DSP’s  all over the world.
