The Syracuse Regional Conference was a great success and I have many people to thank who made it happen.

First, the presentations by the provider community were great. Thanks to Vickie of Ulster Greene, Wendy of ARC of Schuyler, Letisha of The Resource Center, Joe from Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled, and Jeff from Catholic Charities Disabilities. Listening to any of them and you can see why they are the best in the field.

Also, the Therap Staff, Stephen for his opening and in depth knowledge, Leah who everyone wants to have her on their team, and Fayonne – new support staff but obviously not new to Therap and finally Jim Kelly, the billing guru.

The featured event was the opening session of day two. ¬†Self advocate and motivational speaker Henry Wesley, presented his life story culminating with how his use of Therap has helped with his work and marriage. John Vogan and Letisha Eechevarria from The Resource Center followed up with a video where self advocates talked about how they use Therap to actively take charge of their life. Here is Henry and others. You really have to read Henry’s blog, here is a link.
