Karen Niedermeier, Business Development Consultant of Therap Services is at the 2018 Cerebral Palsy of New York State Annual Conference which is currently taking place at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel in Saratoga Springs, NY. Therap stands ready to assist agencies in safely sharing data with the care coordination organizations (CCOs) across the state of New York. Cerebral Palsy of New York State constitutes a network of service providers and advocates for individuals with disabilities across New York State, focusing on both the state and national levels. The conference is featuring nationally known speakers and highly informative workshops, meetings and displays for the people with disabilities, family members, educators, clinical staff, social service providers, Direct Support Professionals, and health care providers.
Therap already provides its documentation software to over 90 agencies in New York. This includes progress notes, incident reporting, individual service plan (ISP) data and documentation, medication administration records (MARs), billing claims, attendance and secure communication (SComm). Therap’s incident manage system includes New York’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Incident Reporting Forms OPWDD 147, 148, 150, Jonathan Law Notification and Follow-up Information.

Therap has worked with more than 4000 agencies nationally and is helping to connect Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) with ID/DD providers. In New York, Therap’s documentation system currently connects with two Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs) – HealtheLink and Greater Rochester (GRRHIO). Collectively they cover a 21-county service area. HealtheLink and GRRHIO are part of the Statewide Health Information Network of New York (SHIN-NY).
