Less than a Month Remaining for the Regional Workshop in Kentucky and Tennessee

The regional workshop in Kentucky and Tennessee is less than a month away! The workshop is scheduled to take place on September 24-25, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn Bowling Green hotel. This workshop is going to be two days full of sessions by Kentucky and Tennessee Therap experts and it will give you a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state. Our Therap experts Tricia Woods, Marie Roland, Jason Laws, Milagros Mimi Roche, and Katy Head will be leading the workshop.

The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules.

The discussion will include:

  • Therap Basics
  • Therap’s Health Tracking/Nursing module
  • Scheduling/Electronic Visit Verification
  • Therap’s Employment History module
  • BI for Demographics/GERs/Health Tracking/Billing Data

Regional Workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas

Join our upcoming Regional Workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 17, 2019. Therap experts will be there to answer any questions.

Staff in Arkansas can use Individual Data form module and IDF extension to enter key information for each individual they support as part of the required individual intake process unique to the state of Arkansas. Providers in Arkansas can use Therap for all of their day to day documentation requirements from progress notes to goal tracking to Medication Administration Records (MAR).

Tentative Presenters:

Maureen “Mo” O’ Connell is a Southeast Business Development Consultant at Therap. She began her career in the Developmental Disabilities field in 2006 with UCP of East Central Florida in Daytona Beach FL as a Youth Employment Specialist and became a user of Therap at that time.

Bonnie Sorrells is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She previously worked for Ouachita Enrichment Centers in South Arkansas as The Director of Adult Services and HIPAA Coordinator for 15 years during which she received training in HIPAA, behavioral planning, case management, medication management, and supported employment. Bonnie has been working with the Therap system at her prior agency since 2013 as the administrator and primary Therap in-house trainer.

Caiti Woodburn is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She has been working in the developmental disabilities field since 2008. Prior to joining Therap, Caiti has worked as a Direct Care Staff and also had experience as a user and provider administrator of Therap system.

Heather Thornton is a Billing Specialist at Therap. She has worked in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field for over 4 years in various capacities. At her previous agency, Heather helped implement Therap from T-Logs to Billing

Regional Workshop in Savannah, Georgia

Therap is happy to announce the onsite Regional Workshop in Savannah, Georgia for 2019. The event will be held on June 27, 2019. The workshop is going to be a one-day event of sessions by Georgia Therap experts and a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state. The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as individual support documentation and reporting, Electronic Health Records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules. This event is only for Therap customers or prospective customers and other approved or invited guests.

Georgia providers working under the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) are using Therap’s HIPAA compliant software services to meet quality assurance, personal outcomes measuring and person-centered service documentation goals.

Jason Laws is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, he has worked in various capacities including direct support, case management, and program management. Jason has managed projects on workforce development, transitioning from congregate care to individualized models of support, and community integration for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Workshop for I/DD Providers in the state of Mississippi, August 24, 2017

The workshop for the I/DD Providers in the state of Mississippi is scheduled to take place on August 24, 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Holiday Inn TrustmarkPark Hotel. The goal of this workshop is to introduce resources and develop a standard of best practices for organizations who support individuals with disabilities and other special needs. As the spending on I/DD services is growing each year, providers across the country have had to get creative and this is no less true in Mississippi.

Together our teams wanted to provide a platform in which each of you can network with your peers from other I/DD organizations across the state of Mississippi. At this workshop you will learn more about the specific needs facing Mississippi providers and also some of the untapped resources that will help you achieve your operational goals.
