AL I/DD User Group

Therap is delighted to invite all I/DD providers in Alabama to join an upcoming online user group titled, ‘AL I/DD User Group’. This user group is scheduled to be held on 30th July, 2020 at 10:00 AM (CDT). Therap specialists with extensive experience in the field, Maureen “Mo” O’Connell, Ishya “Shae” Dotson, Katy Lilly, Devin Hardy and Margaret Gordon, will be your presenters for this session and will discuss new releases and updates to help you meet Alabama state-specific requirements for suitably conducting daily intellectual and developmental disability documentation

This online user group is an open forum where you can find important information related to Therap from your expert hosts as well as other Alabama I/DD Providers and learn from or share experiences in using Therap to fulfill state regulations for HCBS documentation requirements. This online interaction will expand your knowledge on how to streamline your daily documentation processes using Therap’s suite of applications in Alabama. In particular, you will learn about the new releases and module enhancements, including the new flow to Individual Demographic Form (IDF) as well as the associated new features of this module. You will also have the opportunity to troubleshoot, clarify and ask any questions in the Q&A session, or transmit any state needs and requirements to the Therap development team for review.

Virginia EVV – Sending Claims with EVV Data

Therap is pleased to invite the users of Virginia to the upcoming webinar titled, “Virginia EVV – Sending Claims with EVV Data”. The webinar has been scheduled on 16th of June, 2020 at 12.00 PM (EDT). The presenters of this exciting and informative webinar will be:

Maureen “Mo” O’Connell is a Southeast Business Development Consultant at Therap. She has experience working in the field related to Developmental Disabilities since 2006. She had been a Therap user at her previous workplace. Prior to joining Therap, Maureen had also worked as a Marketing Director which included event planning, fundraising and partnering with the Development Director.

Tricia Woods is a Senior Training & Implementation Specialist at Therap Services who joined back in 2016. Prior to that, she had over 15 years of experience working with Individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. Most recently, Tricia was the Director of Health Information and Training for a large Florida provider.

Regional Workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas

Join our upcoming Regional Workshop in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 17, 2019. Therap experts will be there to answer any questions.

Staff in Arkansas can use Individual Data form module and IDF extension to enter key information for each individual they support as part of the required individual intake process unique to the state of Arkansas. Providers in Arkansas can use Therap for all of their day to day documentation requirements from progress notes to goal tracking to Medication Administration Records (MAR).

Tentative Presenters:

Maureen “Mo” O’ Connell is a Southeast Business Development Consultant at Therap. She began her career in the Developmental Disabilities field in 2006 with UCP of East Central Florida in Daytona Beach FL as a Youth Employment Specialist and became a user of Therap at that time.

Bonnie Sorrells is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She previously worked for Ouachita Enrichment Centers in South Arkansas as The Director of Adult Services and HIPAA Coordinator for 15 years during which she received training in HIPAA, behavioral planning, case management, medication management, and supported employment. Bonnie has been working with the Therap system at her prior agency since 2013 as the administrator and primary Therap in-house trainer.

Caiti Woodburn is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She has been working in the developmental disabilities field since 2008. Prior to joining Therap, Caiti has worked as a Direct Care Staff and also had experience as a user and provider administrator of Therap system.

Heather Thornton is a Billing Specialist at Therap. She has worked in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field for over 4 years in various capacities. At her previous agency, Heather helped implement Therap from T-Logs to Billing

Regional Workshop in Savannah, Georgia

Only a week remaining for Therap Regional Workshop in Savannah, Georgia for 2019. The event will be held on June 27, 2019. The workshop is going to be a one-day event of sessions by Georgia Therap experts and a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state. 

Did you know?

Georgia providers working under the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) are using Therap’s HIPAA compliant software services to meet quality assurance, personal outcomes measuring and person-centered service documentation goals.

The regional conference will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as the individual support documentation and reporting, Electronic Health Records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules. This event is only for Therap customers or prospective customers and other approved or invited guests.

About the presenter:

Jason Laws is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, he has worked in various capacities including direct support, case management, and program management. Jason has managed projects on workforce development, transitioning from congregate care to individualized models of support, and community integration for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The User Group Meeting will be held on May 7, 2019, at 10 AM (CDT).  You will get a chance to directly communicate with providers/agencies using Therap. She has also been a Staff Training Coordinator for a provider agency for around 9 years as well as a trainer of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

Devin Hardy is a Training & Implementation Specialist at Therap. He has 7 years of experience in working in the Developmental Disabilities industry. Devin has used and helped in implementing Therap system at his previous workplace. He has worked in many capacities such as a QDDP Assistant, and a Provider Administrator.  

Katy Head is a Training Specialist at Therap. Katy has over 5 years of experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field. She has been a Direct Support Professional supporting people with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities in a Day Program setting. Later, she was promoted to Administrative Support where she was part of the Therap Implementation Team for the organization.
