Less than a Month Remaining for the Regional Workshop in Kentucky and Tennessee

The regional workshop in Kentucky and Tennessee is less than a month away! The workshop is scheduled to take place on September 24-25, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn Bowling Green hotel. This workshop is going to be two days full of sessions by Kentucky and Tennessee Therap experts and it will give you a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state. Our Therap experts Tricia Woods, Marie Roland, Jason Laws, Milagros Mimi Roche, and Katy Head will be leading the workshop.

The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules.

3rd Annual Therap National Certified Trainers Summit in Georgia

Join our upcoming 3rd Annual Therap National Certified Trainers Summit in Morrow, Georgia on September 11-12, 2019. Our Therap experts Johanna, Seanette, Tricia, and Katy will be there to answer any questions.

This event will focus on highly interactive small group discussions, especially in the direction of the Certified Trainers program itself and keep the Trainers’ ideas moving forward. Training will be the main focus of the Summit. Certified Trainers will be invited to give feedback and participate in the development of the agenda prior to the event.

About presenters

Johanna Kroth is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining here, she had been working in the field of developmental disabilities since 1989. Johanna also worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator running vocational evaluation and vocational adjustment services for over 10 years.

Seanette Smith is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, she has worked in the Developmental Disability Program in the state of Oregon as a Personal Service Worker (PSW) Liaison/QED. Seanette has over 10 years of experience as a Billing Specialist.

Tricia Woods is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She comes with over 15 years of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Tricia was the Director of Health Information and Training for a large Floria provider.

Katy Head is a Training Specialist at Therap. She comes with over five years of experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field. Katy began her career as a Direct Support Professional at United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, which supports individuals with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities in a Day Program setting.

Therap Services will be exhibiting at the Insight to Innovation (i2i) Center’s Success Symposium Day to be held in Pinehurst, North Carolina on December 4, 2018. Florida User Group Meeting on October 16, 2018

Florida users are welcome to a User Group Meeting being held at 1890 West State Road 436, Suite 295, Winter Park, FL 04210 on October 16, 2018. This is an opportunity for users in the state of Florida to meet and troubleshoot, network, discuss state and regional issues, clarify and learn about the latest Therap releases. We welcome you to join our user group meeting to discuss how Therap will work for individuals receiving services through the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, to name a few. Learn how Florida Intellectual and developmental disabilities providers are using Therap to generate professional claims for Florida Medicaid while complying with Florida’s ADT Billing rules. Therap team members Maureen O’Connell and Tricia Woods will be at hand to answer technical questions and transmit the group’s consensus state needs and requirements to the Therap development team for review. Workshop for I/DD Providers in the state of Mississippi, August 24, 2017

The workshop for the I/DD Providers in the state of Mississippi is scheduled to take place on August 24, 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Holiday Inn TrustmarkPark Hotel. The goal of this workshop is to introduce resources and develop a standard of best practices for organizations who support individuals with disabilities and other special needs. As the spending on I/DD services is growing each year, providers across the country have had to get creative and this is no less true in Mississippi.

Together our teams wanted to provide a platform in which each of you can network with your peers from other I/DD organizations across the state of Mississippi. At this workshop you will learn more about the specific needs facing Mississippi providers and also some of the untapped resources that will help you achieve your operational goals.
