Less than a month remaining for the Therap State Conference in South Dakota

Great news for LTSS and DD providers! Therap is going to organize a state conference in South Dakota on the 24th and 25th of this March.

Have you registered yet? This two-day event can be a better chance for you to meet with your peers across the state. The same LTSS sessions will be covered on both days, so you can benefit from appearing on either of the days.  

The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as the individual support documentation and reporting, Electronic Health Records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules.

* This event is only for the Therap customers or prospective customers and other approved or invited guests.

  • Case Managers should only attend on Tuesday, March 24th
  • No Provider should register for more than four (4) staff (that includes both days for LTSS Providers)

Only a Week Remaining for the Regional Conference in Geneva, New York

Regional Conference in Geneva, New York is just a week away! The conference is scheduled for August 20, 2019. The conference is going to be a one-day event of sessions by New York Therap experts and a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state.

The event will be a good place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on various Therap modules.

Know the hosts:

Nadine Sturgess is the Director of Billing and Special Projects at Therap. She works with the Billing and Support teams to utilize new billing opportunities. Prior to joining Therap, Nadine was responsible for overseeing all billing and collection transactions in her previous agency.

Karen Niedermeier is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, Karen worked in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field for many years in an agency in New York State. Karen is well versed in Federal Waiver Regulations and has extensive experience interpreting and training on regulations through OPWDD, CHOICES, IRMA and the Justice Center.

Marie Roland is a Billing Specialist at Therap. She has over 9 years of experience in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD). She spent 4 years working in administration for a Day Habilitation Center and the previous 5 years working as a Therap Administrator, where her primary focus was to roll out the multiple phases of billing and attendance as well as maintained the quality and compliance aspects throughout the areas of Therap.

Letisha Ulmer is the Assistant Director of Quality Assurance at Therap. She has worked in the Human Services field since 2008 in New York State, where she worked on professional roles including Therap administrator, residents’ benefits clerk, and day habilitation secretary. She was responsible for the implementation of the Therap system across agency programs, maintaining written agency-specific training manuals and ensuring all new employees were trained in the use of the Therap system.

Gretchen Falk-Lanfear is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She previously worked for FAVARH (The ARC of the Farmington Valley) in CT as a Residential Manager for 15 years and served as a PMT Instructor, the Water Safety Director and Alzheimer’s and Dementia training specialist. She has been working with the Therap system at her prior agency since 2012 and has helped train staff on the system.

Call for Presentations at the 2018 Therap National Conference

Therap is offering interested users an opportunity to do a presentation at the 2018 Therap National Conference. The conference will be hosted at the the Embassy Suites Omaha-La Vista Hotel & Conference Center, 12520 Westport Parkway, La Vista, NE 68128.

Up to two users can apply to make a presentation either in a seminar/tutorial or panel discussion format on the best practices and innovation in the use of Therap to an audience of current, new, and potential users of the system. Surveyors, families, state caseworkers or others who are interacting with agencies using Therap are welcome to submit presentations as well.

Presenters at the conference will get free registrations. Click here to submit your presentation for approval. The deadline for submission is August 31, 2017.

Families and Self-Advocates Using Therap: User Presentation, 2016 Therap National Conference

The privileges given to each user ensure that there is no need to worry about someone seeing something that they shouldn’t have access to.
