Therap’s Incident Reporting or General Event Reports (GER) feature is a comprehensive tool to report incidents and responses in a secure and compliant way. Through this tool, the system can help agencies comply with assurances that must be provided for receiving funds, and more importantly, improve the health and well-being of individuals served. Incidents can be prioritized using High, Medium and Low labels to ensure proper follow-up by support professionals.

Devin Hardy is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. He comes with 7 years of experience working in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field. Devin helped with the implementation of Therap at Sunrise Community and served on the pilot team for the State of Alabama while the decision to use Therap was being discussed across the State.

Tricia Woods is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She comes with over 15 years of experience working in the
Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field. Tricia was the Director of Health Information and Training for a large Floria provider.

General Event Reports (GER) on Therap, also known as Incident Reports, have been designed to track reportable incidents for an individual. Using the incident reporting tool, users can report and follow-up on a wide range of incidents including injuries, behavioral concerns, restraints, and accidents.

Therap has introduced the Business Intelligence platform for aggregating agency-wide data and reporting across several dashboards. With the Business Intelligence platform, Providers will be able to create meaningful aggregated data reports that allow for the identification of trends, execution of quality assurance activities, and assessment of overall agency performance in supporting individuals. Current dashboards include General Event Reports (GER), Demographics, Health Tracking, Billing, and Data-Driven Outcomes (DDO).

GER Resolutions: Closing the Event

Join our webinar on GER Resolutions-Closing the Event that is scheduled on February 12, 2019 at 1 pm ET/10 am PT.  Devin and Deborah will walk you through the webinar and the features of GER Resolution.

GER Resolution is a module connected to the General Event Reports (GER) module that allows you to track the final outcome of any investigation related to GER. Users can add event information, state specific information, and actions taken for the event in this form. Oversight bodies or the State can open investigation for an incident that occurred at a provider agency.

About the Presenters:

Devin Hardy is Training & Implementation Specialist at Therap. He comes with 7 years of experience working with individuals that have Developmental Disabilities. He helped with the implementation of Therap at the Sunrise Community and served on the pilot team for the State of Alabama.

Deborah Hibbard Brito is Senior State Implementation Specialist at Therap. She has been involved with several large Therap implementations for States in Nebraska, North Dakota, New Mexico, and Montana. Deborah coordinates training for all statewide implementations.

General Event Reports: Trending, Resolutions, Reporting

We are pleased to announce that Devin Hardy from Therap will be hosting a webinar on General Event Report (GER) on 27 November at 1:00 PM EST/ 10 AM PST. Devin will be talking about how to track GER trends and how to use GER Resolution to document investigation details, recommendations, involved persons and whether or not the investigation is open or closed for the associated GER. He will also discuss how to report the incidents in a timely and efficient way. 

The Incident Reporting tool on Therap’s disability software is used by agencies nationally to store and track incident reports on individuals they are providing support and care to. This tool is customized to support different state requirements and allows multiple related incidents to be recorded on one form. Medication errors can be logged along with notes that serve to convey review comments to the staff who filed the original report. GER give the opportunity to use a Witness Report to gather further information on a given event from additional staff members who were present.

Devin is a training and implementation specialist and comes with 7 years of experience working with the individuals that have disabilities. He has served in many capacities with his previous employer, Sunrise Community, at their Alabama office in Tuscaloosa. He helped with the implementation of Therap at the Sunrise Community and served on the pilot team for the State of Alabama while the decision to use Therap was being discussed across the state.
