Webinar on Self Advocates as Full Participants in their Services and Supports

Webinar-Kevin-DierksWhat if you could make a profound change to empower the people your agency provides support services to with a very simple policy.  A policy change so simple it can be communicated and understood in just a few seconds, at the same time it has a complexity that suggest it may take years to actually implement to the fullest implications. A change that will have an instant positive impact, and a change so profound it will ripple to every corner of your organization and likely challenge the status quo at times. It will not always be comfortable or easy, but the possibilities are broad and the initial experiences have been overwhelmingly positive.

Nothing is documented on or about a person without their participation.

We will also be highlighting the use of Therap an online documentation tool that makes implementing this policy much more practical and possible.

Come and join us for a presentation and demonstration on Thu, Oct 15, 2015 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT

Webinar on Security Risk Assessment Tool (SRA) presented by Stephen Flanigan

Therap is offering a one hour review of the Security Risk Assessment Tool and answering multiple questions pertaining to your use of Therap as your EHR on Thursday, October 1st at 1:00 pm EST. This webinar will help your agency’s Compliance officer, or the risk assessor/delegated risk member of the management team to complete a risk assessment for your agency.

The Security Risk Assessment is an optional tool put out by the Office of the National Coordinator, along with the Office of Civil Rights, to help small and medium sized agencies in the health field (that covers just about all ID/DD providers) meet their requirement of completing an annual risk assessment, per compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule.

In this one hour orientation and review of this custom tool, we’ll be reviewing several of the more technical EHR questions and addressing how Therap addresses the security risks and accessibility of protected health records, along with some key policy questions to keep in mind when conducting your own risk assessment.
