Press Release: Oregon Developmental Disability Providers Use Therap for Tracking Community Based Supports

Therap introduces additional tools to support Oregon specific employment and community Services

SALEM, Ore., Nov. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Therap supports state specific initiatives that are focused increasingly on community-based supports, less intensive support models, and individuals achieving gainful employment. Therap has thus shifted its focus to creating new tools for providers to address the needs of their employment and community services. For providers in Oregon, Therap has introduced state specific assessment requirements in line with the Oregon Department of Human Services.

Oregon intellectual and developmental disability providers currently use Therap’s Community Employment module to track a range of related supports and documentation. With Therap’s Job Bank-Employer Database, Employment Support staff have the necessary tools to maintain an accurate history of the individual’s work experience and job details. Administrative staff are able to create, update or delete employers, contact persons and job templates, viewable by support staff with assigned privileges. This ensures that staff are accessing accurate information on a consistent basis, from the point of service.

The Employment and Volunteering History form on Therap provides a comprehensive summary of employment services in one place. It details assessments and accomplishments the individual has made throughout their work experience. The attachment feature stores scanned documents in each section, creating a complete record of the individual’s ongoing employment history. Additionally, users may generate reports to measure progress and pull data from all areas of employment too.

Therap National Conference QA tools Presentation: User Presentation, 2016 Therap National Conference

Josh-Dezurik-form-Dungarvin,-MN-151112Like most companies using Therap, Dungarvin spent a tremendous amount of time and effort rolling out Therap. However, once Therap was rolled out to the programs, there was a question of what do we do with this massive amount of information that we are collecting each day. There are countless reports that can be reviewed, but there is only so much time in the day and the sophistication level of each user varies greatly. To tackle this issue Dungarvin began developing a Quality Dashboard using Therap data to monitor key service elements. This Dashboard tool has now been largely completed and Dungarvin is starting to see the effect of leveraging the information. This session will cover the Dungarvin Quality Dashboard tools and demonstrate the ability to meet the needs of a diverse audience while still producing actionable results for multiple organizational levels. Additionally Dungarvin and Therap began a partnership to develop these tools on the Therap Business Intelligence platform. With this joint venture these tools can also be a window into what the business intelligence tool will provide. You’ve already spent the time entering the information into Therap, now see what insights this information can provide through analytics.

This session will provide a quick overview/explanation of the tools as well as time for Q & A.
