“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virture or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” ~Aristotle~
To complete an amazing training it is important for the trainer to familiarize his/herself with the material. Here are a couple of guidelines to follow when prepping for training.
- Take the time to prep. Standard prep time is three hours for every hour of training
- Learn the material. Make your own notes about the information so you can answer any questions
- Use your own words. As the trainer you are able to keep the participants interested if you use your own words as opposed to reading the words from the presentation.
- Use your experiences. Personalize the presentation and the information will create a positive experience for the the participants.
By using these four key points, your training class will go quickly and smoothly and you will have participants that retain more information.
