Hanging out with Allison at GoToMeeting.com talking about the pros and cons of webinars vs. live presentations. Personally, I can stand in front of anyone and talk about Therap for as long as needed. But, I feel lost trying to do a webinar. I think it’s the visual feedback of the audience that I need and the same reason I don’t like talking on the telephone! Others may prefer that lack of eyes staring at you in front of the room in doing a webinar. Either way, it’s another cool thing about Therap, that users from everywhere are always sharing information! Which way are you most comfortable? Let me know as both a presenter or an attendee.

As both a presenter and as an attendee, I prefer the face-to-face option. As a presenter, I feel more comfortable when I can see who is listening to me and I can read the crowds reaction to my presentation. I generally feel like I get more out of a training as an attendee when I can see the presenter and their presentation (whether they use props or a powerpoint or even their hand motions).
Of course, I do enjoy attending a Therap webinar every now and then! :-)
Personally, I am a hands on person and definitely prefer to see who I am speaking with. I enjoy attending webinars that are beneficial to me in regards to Therap but I do a lot better face to face with the people I am talking to. I feel I also retain more information when I am able to see it first hand, as it is being presented. :)
I also feel the same way. I had a real difficult time talking at the Webinar and didn’t feel that it went well at all. I also felt the topic was not my specialty, so maybe that is why I didn’t feel it was successful. I love creating ISP’s, doing all of the reports, and now am attempting the Time Tracking piece which is awesome!
When I am teaching Therap in front of a group, I like interacting with the group, answering questions using the Smart Board, and you can see who is following along.
I do like the Webinars that include the “Updates” that have gone out. I have found these very helpful.
