Today’s helpful hint is how to place reminders on e-mails that you will need to follow up on.  Sometimes it is necessary for you to come back to an e-mail for various information or for a reminder about a meeting that you need to attend.  You can “flag” the e-mail and set up an alarm so you will get a pop up reminder that you need that information or reminder for the meeting.

 

  1.  From your inbox you will have a list of all your e-mails.  Look to the right of the name of the e-mail and you will see an outline of a flag
  2.  Right click on that flag and a list of options will appear
  3. Select the option that you wish to use.  That is it.  Then you are done setting your flag and your reminders.
  4. If you need to set it for a specific date then you will select the “Custom” option
    1. “For a custom date.” A new window will appear and here is where you can set your specific date for a reminder.  Just click ok when you are done
