I know I am very excited about going paperless!!!! Now if I can just get the staff to not be afraid of the new changes coming! :) We went down to the National Therap Conference and learned lots. I really think the best part was actually talking face to face with ALL of the Therap Staff. I have talked to them many times on the live help and phone calls, but to see/meet them was wonderful. What a great team they have! Also networking with all of the other providers around. See how they do things, asking questions about how they got to the point they are on, on Therap. Doing a session ourselves about double locked medications (We had a full room sure hope a few people walked out thinking “Hey, I think we are going to do that”!) WONDERFUL!!! Others gave me the courage to go to the next step with getting EVERYTHING on Therap. Yes,some get a little uneasy when you don’t have that really paper to hold in your hands but to have everything at your figure tips (less paper cuts). Why not?! I also heard at the Conference Nebraska maybe doing paperless billing soon! We would totally pilot that if needed. Just throwing that out there!!! :) Ok all hope you guys keep moving forward. Use Therap for everything you can. If you have questions just ask! Stay Strong!
Well I just can’t tell you how excited I am for this new year! I can’t even imagine all of the new things to come. I would really love to hear what you guys are hoping Therap will come out with this year. I am going to go venture to Kansas for the NATIONAL conference and give my spiel. I am really hoping to meet a lot of you and pick your brains and learn some new things Sure hope everyone had a safe/amazing holiday season and if you are going to be traveling to Kansas at the end of this month be careful who know what this crazy weather is going to be like!
I really am excited to be an Official Certified Therap Trainer!!! I know there is so much more to learn and really I can’t wait. Therap was just introduced to Nebraska a few years ago. Very scary at first not having all of the paper to HOLD in your hands when looking at data or bring “the big books” into the meeting. Really our staff where very skeptical about all of this! “What happens if the site goes down?” Well I am very thankful that there are many different servers “just in case”. Our staff have taken very well to all of the new things we had done and what we continue to add to what we are doing! Running reports by a click of a button, who knew it could be that easy and really NO more paper cuts YEAH!
But, I really have a question for all of you…. are you ready?? Pointers… I want pointers… anything you got throw it at me (softly) or any secret tips about presenting to massive amounts of people? We are using iPads at our residents for documentation is there anything better/easier that any of you are using? Documenting medications on the Android application is so slick, but again we are using Apple lol. I have so many questions, I’m just so curious about lots of things! Thanks for hanging in there with me I promise I’ll get better at this as time goes on!
