Security

“Security is mostly a superstition.  It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.  Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.  Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”  Helen Keller

In life there are not certainties, but in technology there are certainties.  Keeping your identity and personal information secure online is a very important.  If you do not have the correct security credentials in place, hackers and even people who don’t know what they are doing can take your information and just destroy your reputation and your credibility.  Below are some ways to keep your information safe by keeping the security tighter.

  • Longer passwords are harder to crack, so go big and go random.
  • Don’t reuse passwords.  Create different passwords for each entity (e-mail, social media, etc.)
  • Don’t use personal information for password reset questions.
