Wishing I was there

Reading what is happening in New Jersey and wishing I was there. The National Conference is such a powerful time to learn and reconnect with other Therapites.
Sorry I missed it this year and hope next year will work. However, there are many things at home I would have missed, had I not been here, so it was ‘meant’ to be.
It is “COLD” here this morning -5 degrees (-30 windchill).
Thanks to those who are commenting and sharing what is happening. Have a great day of learning and sharing.

Another year is quickly coming to an end. It has been a good year but very busy. At our Agency we have implemented using ISP Plan and MARs. All is going well. My husband and I rode our motorcycles to Yellowstone Nat’l Park this summer. And now I am looking forward to my third trip to Therap National Conference in New Jersey. See Ya there!
Have a Wonderful Holiday!

Little fish.

Testing. Testing. Is this thing on.

I am new to the great big sea of information that is Therap. I have been swimming in it for about a year and have come to realize a few things. First, the deeper into Therap one goes the more amazing it is. Second is that fact that once you step into the Therap waters you are carried swiftly (and gladly) into those deeper waters. And finally I have learned that no matter how deep you get there is always a friendly Therapite to guide you.

Until next time this is Craig, from the blue waters of the Pacific Northwest, signing off… Wait is this thing still on.

At LifeQuest we are very excited about the Individual Home Page!

While in New York JP (my husband) and I were able to connect with family for dinner at PJ Clarke’s in New York City.  It was a very enjoyable evening!

Of course servers using a touch screen wall mounted computer caught my attention.  I was impressed with the efficiency of processing orders  It was very busy in the restaurant and I was impressed with how quickly they processed numerous orders and quickly entered updates.  If someone ordered another drink it was a quick entry into the computer and on to the next customer.

While I was too far away to see “details” of the screen I was able to see there was a screen that had the layout of the restaurant.  The server would touch the table and another screen quickly popped up and they again touched several sqaures (very rapidly I might add).  I’m assuming it had categories such as drinks, appetizers, dinners, etc.  When they were ready to process the bill a receipt appeared on the screen. They were able to process credit cards with this same computer and print receipts on a small stand by the computer.  Minimal space required for the entire operation.

The Individual Home Page is evidence that Therap is once again responsive to feedback and making access to information for employees/families reviewing and entering information more user friendly and efficient.

Thanks Therap!

It pays to browse the Therap website!  On Saturday I viewed a webinar by Pete Ratekin and Justin Brocke and learned about using Macros within excel.

Now I have to say – I was like a child in a candy store!  It was a good thing I was in the office with only one other person in the building.  Fortunately the other person was Daryl who has supervised me for 16 + years and already knows I am strange.

I am so excited to experiment with this new knowledge and hopefully save a bunch of time each month!

Thanks Pete for the great information!

Looking forward to seeing many really cool fellow Therap users in Fishkill!

The Newest…

Welcome yet more smarty pants…Betty Visscher, the Vocational Supervisor, from LifeQuest in Mitchell, South Dakota, is now the newest certified trainer. She works with Bonnie, my BFF…so that makes two uber-nerds from the same agency. Betty knows EVERYTHING ’bout ISPs so track her down in New York.

And another…

Original Picture is Unavailable

Sybil Morin is the Vice-President of Operations (& Awesomeness) for Lifeshare which operates in New Hampshire, Maine, Florida, North Carolina, Rhode Island…and lots of other places. I can’t remember all of them right now. I’m tired. Don’t judge me!

Both she and Betty will be in New York and you had better be there too! We will have a blast at the Provider Administrator Conference.

If you want to join the smarty pants club, let me know and maybe we will share the secret handshake…and also, in the new year, I plan on having some things in order for this herd of (Therap) nerds so watch out!
