Therap National Conference brings together Therap team along with users from all over the United States under one roof. At this event, you will get the chance to meet, exchange ideas and experiences with people from various agencies across the country.

The premier event will provide networking opportunities and users can learn how to get the most out of your documentation. Users will get to learn from dozens of presenters on topics including implementation, provider perspectives and innovative strategies with your data in Therap. There will also be breakout sessions discussing the needs of the disabilities services field as well as session tracks including module topics and targeted themes for deliberations on state-specific trends and topics. We hosted 200+ sessions in 2019 and we are anticipating over 500 attendees this time.

Colorado User Group Meeting

Join us for our upcoming Colorado User Group Meeting on July 11, 2019. The user group session will be at 11:00 am (MDT). You will get the best out of your electronic documentation suite.

What is a user group? 

A user group is a group of Therap users in the same state or area who meet to troubleshoot, network, discuss state and Regional issues, and learn about the newest Therap releases. It is an open forum to check in with Therap and learn from and share with other Therap Users in your area. They also can contain training on any portion of Therap’s system.

About the presenters:

Sarah Christiansen is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She has been working in the DD and Mental Health field since 2009. Sarah gained experience as a user and provider administrator of Therap system at Bridges Community Support Services in St. Louis, MO.

Brent Hessee is a Business Development Consultant at Therap. He began working in the developmental disability field as a Direct Support Professional and has worked in multiple facets of an organization including Supported Living Services and Residential Services.

Robin Forbes is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. She comes with more than 25 years of experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) field in Delaware and Colorado. Prior to joining Therap, she implemented Therap as a Provider Administrator as a way to improve efficiency and quality of services.

Therap Regional Conference is coming your way. Only a week remaining for the Regional Conference in Anchorage, Alaska. The conference will be held on June 5-6, 2019. The event will be hosted by Therap experts and this will be a chance to network with your counterparts from across the state. Therap has been supporting providers and agencies in Alaska since 2007.

The event will be a great place to learn about recent developments in the Therap system, as well as learn about individual support documentation and reporting, electronic health records (EHR) and training management from the technology leader in the developmental disabilities field. The training intensive event will comprise of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sessions conducted by Therap experts on multiple Therap modules.

Kevin Dierks is the Regional Director of Pacific Rim. He has been working in supporting people with developmental disabilities and the communities and systems since 1990. His experience has taken him from the front lines of program delivery to program management and systems change. He has been involved in National, Federal, State and community level public research and initiatives involving public health, disability, technology, and human services.

Seanette Smith is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, she has worked in the Developmental Disability Program in the state of Oregon as a Personal Service Worker (PSW) Liaison/QED. Seanette has over 10 years of experience as a Billing Specialist.

Jody Traina is a Senior Training and Implementation Specialist at Therap. He began working in the field of supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities from 1999. Jody was also a coordinator for a supported living program at The Arc of King County in Seattle.

Dawn Gilder is a Billing Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, Dawn worked for more than seven years at an ICF-ID in Nevada, providing administrative and computer support. She was responsible for the training and implementation of Therap for all departments of the organization with T Logs, eMAR, and Billing.

Kristen Staiert is a Customer Support Specialist at Therap. Prior to joining Therap, she worked for AmeriServe International as a Day Habilitation Service Program Coordinator in Council Bluff at Iowa for six years. Moreover, she has worked with children and adults with disabilities since 2002.
