SEATTLE, March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Therap Services, leader in electronic documentation software for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities service providers, is offering courses that meet the Continuing Competency Program requirements for the Developmental Disabilities Administration defined by the Nursing Commission of the Washington Department of Social and Health Services. Upon completion of the courses, direct support professionals, QDDPs, house managers, nurses and other service providers will receive Continuing Education Codes on their Certificate of Completion. Therap offers flexible online courses designed for users to take during agency trainings or at their convenience from home or work sites across the community.

According to the rules adopted by the Washington Nursing Commission in 2011, “Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses will be required to keep documentation showing at least 531 hours of active practice and 45 clock hours of continuing education.” As a result of Therap’s collaboration with the Washington Department of Social and Health Services, Therap users across the state will now be able to use their documentation and training system to meet the requirements of the Continuing Competency Program.
