Business Development Assistant

Our ideal candidate has knowledge of the I/DD or human services industry and is interested in supporting the Director of business development and a sales team of subject matter experts. She/he should be ready to accept a challenging job to perform a wide range of administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work under supervision of National Sales Director.
  • Work both independently and remotely and as part of a diverse and dynamic national and international organization.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with business associates, vendors, contractors and internal executive staff.
  • As directed to attend meetings, take minutes, summarize and distribute meeting notes.
  • Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing correspondence, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the director’s behalf.
  • Assist with administrative elements of calendar, scheduling and confirming meetings, writing itineraries, travel, and coordination of external and internal events.
  • Ability to research issues, summarize findings and report back to the director.
  • Support the administrative functions of other software.
  • Create and maintain reports.
  • Work with Sales team as directed.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills along with good decision making capability.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and speech).
  • Must have strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Proactive and self-direction.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with Google Suite desired.
  • Very detail oriented and organized.

Preferences:

  • Experience working in the human services field.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
